Tenants


Recertification

To ensure that the tenant family is charged rent appropriate to income, and that the tenant family is in an appropriate size unit, the income and family status of each tenant family shall be re-examined and re-determined at the tenant's request or in AHA's discretion as it feels necessary. Re-certifications are normally conducted on an annual basis however, if there has been changes to your family size and/or income, please fill out the Family Composition and Income Update form. Be sure to include a signed Release of Information so that verifications can be done on the information you provide. Based on the verified information, AHA will make an adjustment to your rental obligation, with an effective date of adjustment as follows:

  • Decrease - Effective date shall be the first day of the month following recertification.
  • Increase -  Effective date shall be thirty (30) days from the next rental due date.
