Low Rent Program

Aleutian Housing Authority owns and manages 64 rental units throughout the Aleutian/Pribilof Region.   There are a total of 29 units available for elder housing in both St. Paul and Unalaska.  You must be 55 or older to be eligible.  Below is a list of communities with our other low rent units.

Families pay 30% of monthly adjusted income, with a minimum monthly payment of $150 and a maximum rent cap of $750*. 

Occasionally, one of these units becomes available to a qualified Alaska Native / American Indian. Available units will be posted at the local Tribal and City office as well as the Aleutian Housing Authority Website under the Available Unit Postings page.

Sand Point

4 Apartments

• Major appliances, carpeting and on-site laundry facility included.
• One fully accessible handicap unit with accommodations for the visually and hearing impaired.

King Cove

12 Apartments

• 6 - 2 Bedroom 
• 6 - 3 Bedroom
• Major appliances, carpeting and on-site laundry facility included.

St. Paul Island

10 Apartments 

•  4 - 2 Bedroom 
•  6 - 1 Bedroom 
• Major appliances, carpeting and on-site laundry facility included.
• One fully accessible handicap unit with accommodations for the visually and hearing impaired.

St. George Island

6 Apartments

• 4 - 2 Bedroom 
• 2 - 3 Bedroom
• Washer and dryer hook ups available.
